At this moment, our world is facing the third month of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Many of us have adjusted to new ways and new routines.  The other night my husband and I were perusing through lakefront properties in Georgia online.  We were thinking if the social distancing continues for many months or years to come, perhaps having another place to call “home” would be amazing.  While scrolling down the MLS, I came across this island for sale in the serene Lake Chatuge.

Lake Chatuge has beautiful mountain views, blanketing across a part of the Georgia and North Carolina border.  Power, water, phone, and cable are already run to this island.  The listing broker states: “Approved for up to a 7-bedroom home or commercial venture with septic system already on the island. Dock permit eligible.”  To access a property only by boat may be the pinnacle of social distancing! One of my friends says he would do a small resort or build a get-away bed and breakfast type of property.
